If your system Apache terminates TLS itself, or sits behind a proxy or load balancer that does, the 'Apache X-Forwarded-Proto/-Ssl headers' test covers whether the Checkmk GUI is correctly told about it.

If your system Apache sits behind another proxy or load balancer that terminates TLS and forwards plain HTTP to it, that automatic value would be wrong. Run <tt>omd config set APACHE_FORWARDED_HEADERS manual</tt> for the site and set the headers yourself in the system Apache configuration instead, e.g. <tt>RequestHeader set X-Forwarded-Proto "https"</tt>.

Found a RequestHeader for X-Forwarded-Proto/X-Forwarded-Ssl in %(files)s. Checkmk already sets this header itself; remove the manual entry to avoid duplicate or conflicting configuration, or set APACHE_FORWARDED_HEADERS to 'manual' if this Apache needs it.

Checkmk's OAuth and MCP endpoints need to know whether the original client request arrived via HTTP or HTTPS. By default (<tt>APACHE_FORWARDED_HEADERS auto</tt>), the system Apache sets the X-Forwarded-Proto and X-Forwarded-Ssl headers for the site itself, based on what it sees on its own connection.
